Drosophila strains

We are happy to share published reagents including transgenic Drosophila strains. Please provide the following information:

  • Identities of strains requested (please include as much details as possible, including specific attP landing site if relevant)
  • Shipping information (please include telephone number)
  • FedEx account number (preferred)
  • Account number of other courier services if you don’t use FedEx

The Salk Institute requires that the recipient agrees to comply with “Salk General Terms and Conditions”. Please review the document and adhere to the rules.

Some countries may have additional requirements for importation of live insects. Please check the regulations of your country and send us necessary custom documents ahead of shipping.

Please send your request, along with the information listed above, to Kenta Asahina [kasahina at salk.edu] and Veronica Morad [vmorad at salk.edu].

We are donating previously published mutants and transgenic strains to Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center. We will update the details when the strains become publicly available.

DNA constructs

Please send inquiries into DNA constructs that are described in our publications directly to Kenta Asahina [kasahina at salk.edu].
